I have never been a fan of resolutions. I haven’t made a resolution in better than a decade. I have seen no need for them. This is why.
I make decisions. I make the conscious effort to do better. To lean into and manifest change. I don’t need a new year to make new decisions. I will say that the idea of it is romantic.
The waiting for the new year to come in.
The mulling over of the things to leave behind, the things to incorporate into the new year. The things that entice you to be so passionate and open towards the new year.
But resolutions are ridiculous if you have no desire to follow through with them. Resolutions are useless if you have no intention on changing–or sustaining that change. Which is why I may decisions not resolutions!
Change is the only thing in your life that will be permanent. Get used to that. The sooner that you accept that, the easier it will be make changes! You are the director, casting agent an manager of your life. That doesn’t change just because you have to buy a new calendar. You have to be the change you wish to see, before anything else.
You have the power to change your life. You have to power to change it at any time. Don’t limit the power of your life, the awesomeness that will come with it to a resolution you’ll break if (or when) it gets to hard to keep.
